Seton Academy is a state approved, private, special educational program serving students ages 10 through 20. The program was developed to address the social and emotional needs of children who have difficulty succeeding in a less restrictive school setting. Seton Academy is dedicated to helping students achieve greater balance in their lives through an approach that addresses their emotional, academic, and social needs. We do this by providing individually tailored academic and therapeutic support, including the following:
- An educational program tailored to meet the student’s academic needs
- A behavioral program which recognizes and promotes positive behaviors
- Assistance in mastering skills necessary for appropriate social behaviors and peer interactions
- Evaluation of existing assessments
- Identification of treatment and counseling needs
- Assistance with referrals to community support services
All services are provided within the context of a carefully managed program that targets and then rewards appropriate social behavior, with the aim of improving social functioning, coping skills, and self-esteem.
